Compton, California Artist Big2DaBoy

Compton, California artist Big2DaBoy has been a very busy man. I think it's safe to say that his tireless work ethic is paying off. After a hot guest appearance on Hustle Boy Money Gang Affiliate Gardena, California rapper Big Doty's acclaimed "Bang Bang Muzic" mixtape and the release of the "St. Helens" project with the Young Giantz (Bigg Joe West/Deuce Mac) Big2DaBoy came into 2013 with guns blazing.

Jameil Robinson, a former church drummer and Lynwood High School alumni says music has always been his calling. Life's tragedies struck early for Big2DaBoy after being ambushed outside his church and shot several times. Apparently heaven wasn't ready for Robinson as his calling home was postponed. After surviving such a vicious attempt on his life Big2DaBoy has taken this obvious message from above and turned it into a blossoming music career.

2013 also saw Big2DaBoy feature on the fire track and video "Gone In The Wind" with Santa Ana, California native Kadillak Kaz produced by Antbeatz. The official video was directed by Marc Woods. The track was the first offering to their forthcoming project entitled "2DaLak" .

As the Ceo of his own imprint BAM IT Entertainment, Big2DaBoy maintains that being an artist running an Independent label is definitely the way to go. "That's what it's all about these days, It's all you". The hot female group & Bam It Entertainment act Flos'sae recently blessed the streets with the scorching track "Long Beach" produced by Stone Beatz. Big2DaBoy announced the release of their new mixtape entitled "The World Ain't Ready" Hosted By DJ WizKiD. BAM IT Entertainment also flaunts a BAM IT Wear clothing line. Faithful fans can contact Big2DaBoy on his Facebook or Twitter directly for info on how to represent their favorite MC's movement.

Fresh Of A Trip To Tempe Arizona to share the stage with Compton legend MC Eiht, Big2DaBoy makes it clear that he looks to carve out his own legacy in the "Hub City". "I'm tired of Compton having a reputation of negativity" says Robinson of the stereotypes the hip-hop community have of the notorious city. "I'm all about positivity, that's what I'm doing". "They call me The Deacon". Big2DaBoy goes on to explain how his music is meant to inspire and uplift rather than divide and destroy. He looks at fellow Compton MC's and brothers feuding wishes the scuffling would stop. "At the end of the day we're all the same", says Big as he quotes the "One West" movement as a model of unity that should be duplicated.

Big2DaBoy is also celebrating the release of "Mr. 1 Take Jake" also hosted by his go to mixmaster DJ WizKid. The lead single "Pain In The Music"  showcases Big's raspy flow over a smooth hypnotic beat explaining life's everyday grind while still pushing the line with his music. An official video was filmed that saw cameo appearances from OG Cuicide, Timtaion, Hub City Dre, Ramon, Briccs, Lil 2Da, and many more. "Mr. 1 Take Jake" is available a multiple online outlets for purchase.

Not to leave any stones unturned as OneWest Magazine sat down with the Compton rapper, Big2DaBoy wanted to announce a future double album in the works. An Ep and an LP entitled Big (The Ep) and 2DaBoy (The Lp). A release date has not been set but he assures OneWest Magazine that we will be among the first to know when it's set for launch. To sum up what has already been a productive year Big2DaBoy is working on a documentary "The Untold Story". A detailed description of how he went from an admirer of Hip-Hop to an artist who is admired by many in his own right. The release date for the documentary is TBA. For more updates on Big2DaBoy keep it locked in right here at One West Magazine where "The Westcoast Unites".
